Bingo and Peanut

Jim Ellison, President

On April 27, 2019, I, Bingo, became a permanent family member of the Hilary Coltman household after a one-week stint as her foster dog. From the time Jim Ellison brought me to my new home, I felt loved and never looked back. I immediately hopped on my mom’s couch and have been happily residing there ever since. I wasn’t lonely, but in April 2020, my mom decided to try fostering again and Peanut arrived. I was not too pleased at the time, but when she was gone for a few days, I realized I kind of missed her. When my mom adopted her on April 4, 2020, I decided I liked having her around. She can be a pest, as some younger sisters are, but I must say the attention she gives me when she kisses me is not bad!

We have both put on a bit of weight since being adopted because Mom feeds us chicken and veggies every night. We love to walk in our unit, and we have many other friends who we walk and play with. In the afternoons, on most days, we head over to the Tuscany Falls dog park to see all our other buddies. The best part of that is running along the fence on the small dog side, chasing the big dogs on the other side. We both have nice warm jackets for our cold weather walks since I am a terrier/Chihuahua mix and Peanut is a min-pin/Chihuahua mix. We get cold easily. We have blankets and beds in Mom’s office and in the living room. We are usually burrowed under a blanket most of the time.

On Halloween, Mom dressed me up as Superman, and Peanut was a ballerina. We didn’t love the outfits but all the neighbors did!

Peanut turned three on Feb. 18, we think. She was found on the street, so the vet guessed at her age. On June 8, I will be five years old. We are planning large parties on both days, which I guess we will have to share with our mom, as she will buy the food. We will tell all our neighborhood friends!

We have never met a stranger! If you see us in Unit 8, please stop and give us a cuddle and a treat. We have several neighbors where we stop for treats when their garages are open. We love them!
