Shannon V
James Ellison
Hi! My name is Shannon Number 5. I am a nine-year-old, male Irish setter, and yes, there were four other Irish setters in this household before me named Shannon. I guess my owners, Brian and Rich, just can’t think of calling out another name, especially when you think that my name prior to adoption was Donovan!
I was adopted in 2011 at the age of two from North Texas Rescue by my owners who lived in Colorado at the time, after which I got the first taste of snow. Wow, was that a real treat for someone who had never seen snow. It had piled up to about 16 inches. Boy, it was fun seeing my paw prints and the yellow marks I could make in the snow.
In 2016, my owners decided that PebbleCreek was to become our new home. However, they never told me that there would be no more snow in Goodyear, and that, in the summer, it gets really hot! Well, after two and a half years, I am finally used to getting up really early in the summer for our three-mile walk. Guilt has worked in my favor, as I now get to lounge on the couch or in my leather chair in air conditioning.
I hope to see you on one of my walks, and if you happen to have a furry friend with you, don’t be surprised if I start prancing, as I love to show off!
