Hi! My name is Bo and I am a Catahoula! I was found in the desert in February. I was skin and bones and I was very cold. I was very skittish and was afraid of men. A very nice lady tried for weeks to earn my trust. She put out food, water and a blanket for me. Eventually, I let her take me into her house. She told me I was a good boy. I would lie beside her on the bed, the couch or wherever I could be near. It took me a while to show her my funny, easy going personality because I was so scared. Once I did, I was back to my old self because I felt safe. I didn’t really know how to play, but her two dogs taught me how. Toys are still something I am learning.
Because the lady that rescued me is moving, I am now staying with Jim and Marge Ellison from the Pet Companions Club of PebbleCreek while they try to find me a forever home. I follow Jim wherever he goes in the house and lie beside him when he sits. I like it when he gives me tummy rubs. I love to go for walks in the morning with Jim and meet the neighbors and their dogs. When I am in the house, I am a goofy couch potato. Marge calls me Scooby Doo because I am so funny.
I do know some basic commands like sit and stay. I am great with kids and get along with other dogs, but have never been around cats. People tell me I don’t have a mean bone in my body. If you decide to make me your special dog, please be patient with me. I will not understand why I am going to another new home. If you give me a chance, I will definitely give you lots of love!
