Lucky found love in PC
Hello, my name was Lucky. I was rescued days away from death in November of 2016, so they named me Lucky. I had not seen a good meal in many months, my ears were full of ear mites and I had a very hard time walking due to arthritis in my back legs.
The Pet Companions Club of PebbleCreek found me and took me to my foster mom. She gave me food, love, a really soft bed and medication for my arthritis and ears. The vet said I was about 14 years old. People began to know me. One special lady by the name of Mary came to see me often, with kind words and a gentle pet on the head. Sometimes Zoe, a white poodle, would stop by and visit on her daily walk, always showing off her toy she carried in her mouth.
I left my foster mom in June. On my last day she whispered in my ear that she would see me again at the Rainbow Bridge. I could not walk anymore, but I know that I was lucky. Lucky that the good folks in PebbleCreek took me in and gave me the best life an old cat could have. I know my foster mom loved me and I loved her. She always told me she was the lucky one.
I know there will always be another Lucky rescued in PebbleCreek. Whether it’s a lost, neglected or abandoned cat or dog, they will be the lucky one to be in the good, caring hands of the residents of this community. For now, I am just waiting for my mom at the Rainbow Bridge.
