Kacey and Brody are best buddies
Hello! My name is Kacey (often called “The Red Dog”). My family, Bob and Barb Geiges, rescued me 12 years ago from the Arizona Humane Society. They looked at many other pups before selecting me. I wasn’t much to look at since I was found in a deep hole at a mission in Mexico and was infested with bugs I would rather not talk about. My amazing personality won my family over. I licked them, played ball and snuggled up real close.
One day my family adopted a sister for me to play with. We only had her for a short time. She got sick and had to go to the Rainbow Bridge. Then, about two years ago, my family came home with this white puppy that we named Brody. Since I am an Aussie mix I need a job and now I really had a big one. I had to teach this new pup everything I knew about living with this family.
Brody came from Anthem Pets Animal Rescue. His litter was found in a box in a field and he was pretty sick. A great vet fostered him and he got better. That is when my family brought him home. I worked hard teaching him to use the doggie door, not to have accidents in the house and to never, never play with my favorite toys. Brody is a very smart boy! He is a Border Collie, Cattle Dog mix. He was a quick learner and we are best buddies now.
Our human parents love us so much! They take us for a long walk every day. They play ball with us in the back yard and make us special pumpkin dog treats. I am getting to be an old guy so my family is planning on inviting another fur kid to join our family sometime in the new year. They will start to visit rescues and, when they think they have found a good match, Brody and I will be taken for a meet and greet. For now we are happy pups, have a happy family and all is well.
