The Goodyear Arts and Culture Commission is sponsoring a Fine Art Show at the Goodyear Library through the end of February, 2016. The show is open to all West Valley Artists and the artwork submitted is juried by a panel of arts professionals, city staff and members of the community. An artist’s reception was held on December 5 at the library. We were entertained by Duane Langston playing guitar and we all enjoyed the beautiful art exhibited and which is there until February 5, 2016.
The theme of the Fine Art Show is Timeless Portraits and Duane Langston won the People’s Choice Award. It really is gorgeous in its very simplicity. Good work, Duane, and congratulations from the PebbleCreek Art Club.
In addition, several artists from the PebbleCreek Art Club are exhibiting their individual impressions of Jan Vermeer’s Girl With A Pearl Earring; very diverse.
