Approximately every other year, the PebbleCreek Woodcarvers have a raffle with a beautiful handmade carving. This raffle helps us maintain and purchase new equipment for the club. The last raffle was an Arizonan themed chess set. This year, we had nine individual hand carved pieces donated by our local woodcarvers. The raffle started last fall with the first draw on Jan. 26, and then it came to a screeching halt due to COVID. We were finally allowed back, under strict COVID rules, and collected the tickets to finish the drawing. So, we are happy to announce our winners.
Fred Kettlewell won the first draw in January. David McDonald won a butterfly Kachina, Joan Crawford won a trout, Sue Giberman/Kristine Douglas a totem pole, Mike Wisnowski an elk, Roger Borlaug a chip carved plate, Randy Michaels a bear carrying a fish, Natalie Bradford a ram, and Ann Tansey a Kachina. Congratulations to our winners and a big thank you to our donors!
We have already started and completed most of our next raffle with a date to be determined. It is a large Noah’s ark with Noah, his wife, a number of animals, and a few other accessories.
