PebbleCreek’s Renaissance Theatre ushers are looking sharp in their new vests thanks to Lila Garner. While visiting the Activities Office, Lila overheard a discussion regarding the need for vests to be worn by ushers for events in the Renaissance Theatre. The vests would give the ushers a uniform look, make them easily identifiable and present a more professional appearance. Lila quickly spoke up and volunteered to take on the task. With a positive can do attitude and seamstress skills extraordinaire, it was immediately apparent that the Activities Office had the right person for the job. Over a period of several months, Lila made 22 vests altering the basic pattern to produce various sizes to fit the various sized ushers!
“Lila was a joy to work with and she did a magnificent job,” according to Patti Wegehaupt of the Activities Office. “Her many hours of volunteer work and unselfish efforts are truly appreciated by the Activities staff and the ushers,” added Traci Baker, Director of Community Activities. PebbleCreek thanks you, Lila, for your efforts and for giving our volunteer ushers such a professional look!
