Once again, PC Tennis Club members gathered to enjoy another fun social on a beautiful October day at the PebbleCreek tennis courts. The theme for the social was Oktoberfest and it was a day filled with many enjoyable activities.
The day started off with mixed doubles tennis play on the Tuscany Falls and Eagle’s Nest tennis courts. Following tennis, members gathered for the Oktoberfest festivities. A menu of delicious German food was served including soft pretzels with mustard, brats, homemade sauerkraut, German potato salad, and strudel. The club would like to acknowledge our fabulous social director Janet Wise for organizing this wonderful event. Thank you to tennis club members Sig Mueller for making the delicious sauerkraut to go with the Oktoberfest menu, and Donna Gillen for making the delectable German potato salad.
Following lunch, members took part in and judged the Oktoberfest contests. First up was the chicken dance fun event to get the party started. The second event was the yodeling contest, which was entertaining and outstanding. All contestants did a wonderful job, and the first place prize went to George Bohl for his excellent yodeling melody.
