Each summer my husband and I travel to escape the heat of Arizona. As the trip comes to an end, we look forward to returning home and getting back to our routines at PebbleCreek.
Our Shalom Club Community offers many activities that we can look forward to each month. Last month Steve Shaffer briefly discussed two movies, Wonder Woman and The Woman’s Balcony. The discussion continued to include movies watched over the summer months. The next meeting will take place on November 3 at 10:00 a.m. at Tuscany Falls. The choice of the movie is yet to be determined.
It’s not too late to join Judy Ruck as the facilitator for the book discussion, The Midwife of Venice by Roberta Rich. This book is a must read! Meet on Friday, October 13 at 10:00 a.m. in Tuscany Falls.
And of course, we have our traditional times! Our Break-the-Fast was well received with a large turnout. Mimi Birnel did a fabulous job planning this event where bagels, lox, salads, challah and pastries were served. Carl Schatz made arranged seating available.
We are all looking forward to our event of the year—West Valley Story—a 1950’s Murder Mystery. Mark your calendars—Saturday, November 12, starting with a cocktail hour at 5:30 p.m. You won’t want to miss this fun and mysterious evening all planned by our Event Committee!
Last month at our general meeting we were fortunate to have Ellie Hutchinson from the Arizona Humanities speak. Ellie is committed to developing partnerships and programs in the community.
Chief Paul Luizzi, from the Goodyear Fire Department, will speak at our October meeting on October 15. We look forward to seeing everyone at 6:30 p.m. for snacks and drinks. The meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m., Eagle’s Nest Ballroom.
