Ray Hadden, with his wife Beth, has been a neighbor of ours in PebbleCreek since 2002 and is running in the March election for Goodyear City Council. He is the only one of the five candidates who is a PebbleCreek resident. Creekers know him from his appearance in Showtime Productions and PC Singers concerts, many of which have featured his booming bass voice. He was recently chosen as an elder of the PebbleCreek Community Church.

Ray has an extensive background in business management and finance. A large part of this experience is working closely with city councils, zoning boards and city fire departments for the past 20 years in the planning and development of healthcare facilities in California and throughout the southwestern U.S. He plans to use his expertise and skills for the future development of the City of Goodyear as he works towards lower taxes, control of spending and promoting new business.

Armed with a B.S. in Construction Management from Kensington University and executive management training at Dartmouth College, Ray embarked on a career in construction of oil refineries and petrochemical projects throughout the U.S. Joining Fluor Corporation in the late 1970s, he worked on foreign projects in Saudi Arabia, the Ivory Coast West Africa, Holland and Australia and he was promoted to the level of vice president. Later he managed major healthcare projects building hospitals and medical facilities for Kaiser Permanente in Southern California.

Ray was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, where he married his high school sweetheart Elizabeth (who Creekers all know as Beth) 55 years ago. They have three daughters, three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
