In 2011, Sandy and her husband Mike moved to PebbleCreek. They were drawn to our community for the Creative Arts Center (CAC) and pickleball. Sandy had started her sewing journey in middle school and now the CAC offered something different—a class called Sew You Think You Might Want to Quilt. Sandy commented, “It sounded like fun and I signed up.” Since then, Sandy has been very busy exploring different types of quilting. In 2019, Sandy’s first grandchild was born and Sandy branched out into other projects, including a growth chart, baby quilts, embroidered items, soft books, I-spy quilts, and other fun projects.
Sandy’s creativity focuses on color choices, and her sewing is meticulous. She continues to learn more techniques, enjoys online classes, bought a serger, and has accumulated an impressive “fabric stash.” Sandy also teaches classes for quilters in the CAC.
Sandy, we thank you for sharing your talent and displaying your creations in the PC Quilters’ window.
