The PebbleCreek Putters Club held its spring “Beat The Pros” tournament on May 9, 2018, with members competing against five of the PebbleCreek golf staff professionals. The staff putters to beat were the following: PC General Manager Bill Barnard, Director of Golf Jason Whitehill, Reid West PGA Teaching Professional Dennis Downs, Head Golf Professional Ronnie Decker and Assistant Golf Professional Mark Heron.
Putters were divided into five flights, based on their established Putters Club handicaps. Players in each flight competed against the golf professional assigned to that flight. The best five net scores in each flight which “beat the pro” won prize money.
The Putters Club provided a fun buffet luncheon in the Chianti Room where the prizes were awarded.
Tournament Results:
Flight 1: Pro: Bill Barnard. Winners: 1st Dennis Tupper; 2nd Rene Lefebvre; 3rd Chris Mucha.
Flight 2: Pro Ronnie Decker. Winners: 1st Jeannie Alvarez; 2nd Carol Taylor; 3rd Ken Hahn.
Flight 3: Pro: Mark Heron. Winners: 1st Pat Engelmann; 2nd Maureen Campbell; 3rd Claire Tupper.
Flight 4: Pro: Dennis Downs. Winners: 1st A.D. Cline; 2nd Beverly Buck; 3rd Tom Buck.
Flight 5: Pro: Jason Whitehill. Winners: 1st Laura Variola; 2nd MaryLou Avery; 3rd Pat Hacker.
