Sounds of the holiday season will come alive in the Renaissance Theater as the PebbleCreek Singers present “A Festive Winter Night.” Performance dates are Wednesday, Dec. 4 through Saturday, Dec. 7 at 7 p.m.
The PC Singers special gift of holiday music will be delivered to friends and neighbors by the 70-voice chorus under the direction of Jerry Drake. This musical package is wrapped in songs of joy, peace, winter fun, and special times with family and friends. It’s tied with ribbons of traditional, secular, sacred, classical, and novelty selections. The spirit of the season will fill the air as this gift of 18 full chorus numbers is opened for expectant audiences. Good things come in small packages, too, as several small ensembles deliver their gifts of select, holiday numbers. A high energy, fast paced song, “Come on, It’s Christmas,” will open the program. The Sopranos and Altos will take the spotlight to sing their rendition of “Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas,” a sparkling holiday number from the movie, Home Alone 2. Our Tenors, Baritones, and Basses will present a show-stopping holiday novelty song, “All That Holiday Stuff,” with lyrics that list (tell) many holiday traditions. A special Hannukah number, “Light One Candle,” will accompany the lighting of the menorah. We have saved the biggest and best gift for last. Our finale will be a powerful and majestic masterwork that will resound throughout the theater as the concert comes to a close.
Online ticket sales begin on Monday, Nov. 4, at 8 a.m. Ordering online is simple. Go to pebblecreekhoa.org, click on Things to Do, then Tickets.
