Will you audition for “12 Angry Jurors”?

Laurie Farquhar

Have you ever wondered what goes on in a jury room after all of the evidence has been presented to the court? How well does our justice system really work? The classic American drama, 12 Angry Jurors, explores this question and you have the opportunity to be a part of this powerful production.

PC Players is presenting 12 Angry Jurors for four nights next spring, from Wednesday, March 6 to Saturday, March 9, 2019. Auditions will be Monday, October 22 and Tuesday, October 23 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., in the Tuscany Ballroom. There are 13 roles available and Director Donna Gray will cast both men and women in these parts. Audition material is now available from Producer Patti Wegehaupt, 623-536-7233 or [email protected]. For more information, contact Director Donna Gray at 602-321-1597 or [email protected].

12 Angry Jurors is an intense and thought-provoking play. It promises to get PebbleCreekers talking about our country’s fundamental right to a fair trial by one’s peers. Don’t you want to be a part of this conversation?

PC Singers prep for holiday concert

Diane Piehl

The Singers gathered on September 10, received the music for the holiday concert and enjoyed listening to each selection director Gail Kennedy had chosen. The Singers were asked to make notes on their scores and these tips will be reinforced throughout the rehearsal period.

The chorus specialty groups, The Four Kings, Triple Trouble and 8 Is Enough, are busy working on their numbers.

From the beginning of Deck the Halls to the end of the concert, the audience will be delighted with the musical choices. Rehearsals are now well under way and the chorus is busy learning the music to be shared with the community Tuesday, November 27 through Saturday, December 1 at 7:00 p.m. in the Renaissance Theater.

Many of us think of the holiday season as the best time of year and we get into the spirit of the season. What a wonderful way to kick off the holidays, joining the PebbleCreek Singers at their annual concert. Mark the concert dates on your calendar now. First day of ticket sales will be November 3.

ShowTimes’ “Enchanted Evening” to hit the stage Nov. 12-17

It’s a Grand Night for Singing, at least that’s what the cast of ShowTime’s fall show will tell you. Our company of 16 vocalists have been practicing all summer; their voices can be heard across the United States and beyond as traveling is what PebbleCreekers do during the summer. Soon the cast will all be gathered in the theater for the final weeks of rehearsal. It’s a show you won’t want to miss. You may even find yourself singing along to many of the songs, such as Surrey with the Fringe on Top, There is Nothing Like a Dame, Oklahoma and Shall We Dance? to name just a sample.

ShowTime productions usually sellout and expectations are that this show will be no exception. You need to plan ahead to get your tickets, which will go on sale Saturday, October 13. The best way to purchase yours is to go online through the PebbleCreek HOA website at www.pebblecreekhoa.org. No log in is necessary. Just go to the Home Page, click on “Things to Do” and scroll down to “Ticket Sales.” You can also buy them at the theater on the opening day of ticket sales.

Enchanted Evening runs for six performances (November 12-17) and it will be a grand night for all.
