Tickets for A Night At The Renaissance
Laurie Farquhar
If you had a chance to see the best of PebbleCreek’s performing arts groups in one show, how much would you expect to pay for a ticket? $30? $40? $50? The upcoming PAC fundraiser, A Night at the Renaissance, will showcase many of PebbleCreek’s most talented performers from ShowTime, PC Players, PC Singers and PC Musicians and for this unprecedented collaboration, a ticket will cost only $15.
So what do you get for $15? There will be favorite songs from past ShowTime productions such as 42nd Street and Hello Dolly, along with rock ‘n roll and country numbers. PC Musicians’ new combo Silk will perform its signature upbeat Latin sounds. PebbleCreek’s favorite comedienne Melissa Kallett will present her unique perspective of the current backstage challenges. Dance Fusion is reviving two of its most popular numbers, along with a new tap piece that will wow the audience. All of this will be woven together into a Laugh In style variety show by the PC Players, with Dan Rowan and Dick Martin hosting the evening.
A Night at the Renaissance will run only six nights from Monday, November 16 to Saturday, November 21. Tickets for this amazing production of music, dance and comedy will go on sale Saturday, October 17 from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. in the Renaissance Theatre. Any remaining tickets will be sold at the Eagle’s Nest Kiosk on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings. Please check the Save the Date box in this newspaper for kiosk sales times. Net proceeds from the ticket sales will be given to the Build the Backstage project, which is to expand the backstage area of the Renaissance Theatre making it safer and more functional for everyone who uses the theater.
So mark these dates on your calendar because this is a once in a lifetime production that you won’t want to miss. For an incredible price, you will see top quality entertainment that will bring a smile to your face and a song to your heart. Plus, you will feel good knowing that your support is an investment in keeping PebbleCreek a great community.
PC Singers “news”
Donna Swagger
New season, new songs, new singers! That’s what’s happening with the PebbleCreek Singers.
New Season
The chorus launched their new season on August 10 when rehearsals resumed after the summer break and Director Gail Kennedy presented the selections for the 2015 Christmas program. Nods of approval, lots of smiles and a few oohs and aahs indicated that the choristers were excited and pleased with the repertoire! After the initial run through of all the songs, the Singers know it’s time to get down to the nitty-gritty! Over the next three months they will learn the notes, rhythms and accents for each song as well as memorize several numbers. They will practice diligently in order to be concert ready!
New Songs
The new music for the Christmas concert is a delightful mixture of songs of the season guaranteed to create a heart-warming holiday mood. Opening with It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year, the concert continues with new arrangements of some old holiday favorites, beautiful sacred numbers, some novelty pieces and a lush a cappella number. These will be performed by the full chorus, small ensembles and several soloists.
New Singers
The chorus welcomed six new members this fall – Patrice Cole and Beth Hadden (sopranos); Barbara Belonax and Marielle Ramsey (altos); Randy Prinz and Monte Sriver (tenors). We are delighted to have them be a part of the PebbleCreek Singers! Look for them on stage in December.
True to tradition the PC Singers will usher in the 2015 holiday season with this popular concert. Performance dates are Tuesday, December 1 through Sunday, December 6 at 7:00 p.m. in the Renaissance Theatre. Watch for future PebbleCreek Post articles with information on ticket sales.

Come to this unforgettable show enacted by the Roving Readers the afternoon of October 29 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and you will recognize yourself amongst the many women in this wonderfully affecting comedy written by Nora and Delia Ephron, based on the book by Ilene Beckerman.
Meet Gingy, the youngest divorced person since Elizabeth Taylor; Stephanie, the Prom Dress queen; Nora who hates her purse; Liz, the sister who’s in love with the wrong guy; Geralyn, breast cancer survivor; Heather who battles shoes — and a myriad of others.
This production is unique in that the audience will be limited to 150 persons seated at tables close to the actors in the Tuscany Falls Ballroom. The idea is to create an intimate setting so that the audience can more easily identify with the characters’ stories. To make this an even more pleasurable afternoon, everyone will enjoy dessert served along with coffee and tea before the performance begins.
If you find all seats are sold, don’t despair. An encore performance is planned for January 21, 2016, and you can still make reservations for that date. Tickets are only $20 with $10 of the price going to support Build the Backstage. So buy a seat or a table of 10. You will be so glad you did.
