PebbleCreek Lady Niners News

Suzanne Butler

The annual two-day Member-Member Tournament held on March 22 and 23 truly looked like a Trip Around the World as the Lady Niners arrived on Day One dressed in attire suited to their favorite country. The event began with a Putting Contest, made even more challenging by a ring of international flags circling each hole.

The Around the World in 18 Holes theme was evident throughout the event with International Flags centerpieces, international countries trivia game, International-flair luncheon and desserts and raffle prize baskets designed with exciting travel adventures in mind. Suzanne Butler and Lorene Greer, along with their very talented and dedicated committee chairs and members, did a super job in planning and carrying out the theme through every detail of the two day event.

Prizes were awarded for first through sixth places on the Falls, Palms and Lakes Courses. First Place winners were: Falls – Kathy Tobin and Carole O’Riley; Palms – Kathy Domagala and Karen O’Grady; Lakes – Cheryle Pike and Kelly McElroy. Other team winners were: Falls 2nd Place Sue Jaffe and Donna Possehl; Falls 3rd Place Carol Miller and Karen Borchers; Palms 2nd Place Char Morrow and Diane Doering; Palms 3rd Place Janis Korba and Tricia Self; Lakes 2nd Place Bonnie Elliott and Marty McAllister; Lakes 3rd Place Karen Zittergruen and Charlotte Krause

Spring Fling

“It’s Five O’clock Somewhere” and the Niners sported their Margaritaville attire in keeping with that theme for this year’s Spring Fling on April 5. After golf festivities included tasty street tacos and Margaritas on the always lovely Eagle’s Nest patio. This annual event concludes the club competitions for the year and is a special time to recognize the achievements of many PCL9GA members.

The new 2016 Club Champion, Char Morrow ,was recognized along with Lorene Greer, who based on her performance in the four Medallion Qualifiers, was awarded the Low Net Championship for 2016. Pam Grimwood was awarded the Most Improved Player award.
