The 2017-2018 season began for the Lady Niners on November 14—a beautiful sunny day. Giddy Up Girls was the theme for the event, planned by Pam Grimwood and Dee Reynolds. 152 players gathered for a taco salad lunch with golf on the Falls, Palms and Lakes golf courses. Many dressed in cowboy attire to fit the theme. Dessert and awards followed a “choker” scramble. In this game one person is the “choker” and their score counts regardless of how they do, while the other three play a scramble for the second team score. Each person had to face the pressure at least twice. It proved to be an enjoyable way to work as a team.
