“Gourmet Golf” was the theme for this year’s fun event with the Sun City Ladies Grand Niners. Golfers were greeted by volunteer “chefs” who got everyone’s golf bags and cart assignments squared away. After checking in, ladies headed to the putting green to see what was cooking—a putting contest with a twist. Each player had to putt their golf ball using golf-themed oven mitts.
Rosemary Palmer, a visitor from Sun City Grand (SCG), was the only one to sink the putt, with PebbleCreek’s Anna Schuchman winning closest to the hole. It was a beautiful morning for golf as we played a team event followed by a delicious, gourmet lunch buffet of soup, salad, and dessert.
