“Puttin’ on the Ritz” was the theme of this year’s PCL9GA Invitational Golf Tournament held on Feb. 11. Golfers from PebbleCreek and ten other clubs from around the Valley played on Tuscany Falls East and Tuscany Falls West courses. This fun-filled event, planned by co-chairs Suzanne Butler and Anna Schuchman, included lunch, nine holes of golf, a putting contest, dessert, and prizes. Many local businesses generously donated money or services to help make the event successful. The Tuscany Falls Chianti Room was a festive display of raffle items. Special raffle tickets could be purchased for a chance to win $500 “Flapper Cash.” The guests came from Cottonwood, PebbleBrooke, Peoria Pines, Sun City Grand, Sun City Festival, Pinewood, Corte Bella, Oakwood, Encanto, and Trilogy. Volunteers, including the golf pros, were on hand to unload cars and get the carts organized. Many of the guests showed up in glitz and festively-themed outfits.
