On Friday, April 18, 2014, there were 18 members and guests that took the Street Survival: Point Shooting class.

This is not the usual conventional type shooting where marksmanship and bulls eye shooting is stressed; point shooting happens in a matter of seconds when you must shoot in less than two or three seconds in self-defense of your life.

FBI statistics verify the 3 x 3 x 3 statistic that in over 90% of all armed confrontations less than three shots are fired in less than three seconds and at a distance less than three yards.

Stephen Tom is an active duty Maryland State Trooper who is serving on the State (SWAT) Team for the past 14 years as the state sniper and breacher (explosives). He is an instructor at the Maryland State Police Academy, Maryland State Police SWAT School, Maryland State Police Sniper School and is the Maryland State Police Taser Instructor.

All 18 students survived the class!
