On September 3, 2014, the PebbleCreek Gun Club hosted two seminars in the Tuscany Falls Clubhouse: Introduction to Personal Safety and Urban Disaster Survival
(Zombie Survival 101). These seminars were conducted by Mike Simpson, Marauders Tactical Training [http://www.marauders.us/].
Over 40 members attended and all agreed that these were excellent seminars.
There will be follow-on tactical field training during classes to practice the concepts and principles learned in these seminars.
The first follow-on tactical field training class will be on Monday, November 3, 2014, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Personal Security – Surviving the Ambush
This program provides participants an opportunity to learn about techniques and tactics used to detect, avoid and successfully defeat ambush situations. The training incorporates non-lethal training ammunition options for force-on-role player and force-on-force reality based training.
Location: Marauders Urban Assault Course
Drills:
Ambush drills (The Hood) – force-on-role player
Scenario based training – force-on-force: Robbery scenario; Kidnapping attempt; Home invasion robbery; Carjacking attempt; Active shooter scenario.
Class admission is $100 per person including use of non-lethal training weapons and safety equipment.
2014 Fall Seminars and Tactical Field Training Classes:
Seminar – Principles of Executive Protection
Date: November 17, 2014
Location: Tuscany Falls Clubhouse
Time: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with lunch break from noon to 1:00 p.m.
Admission is $40 per person and maximum number of participants is 24.
Program description: This program introduces participants to the techniques and tactics used by executive protection personnel to identify, avoid and respond to ambush situations. This program is ideal for individuals travelling with unarmed/untrained companions.
Tactical Field Training Class – Urban Disaster Survival Training
Date: December 8, 2014
Location: Marauders Urban Assault Course
Time: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Admission is $100 per participant and maximum number of participants is 12.
Program description: This program provides practice for individual and group survival strategies for operating in a non-permissive environment (government services and security no longer exist). Training topics/activities include: Evaluation of individual survival equipment/Go bag; Evaluation of mobile survival equipment (vehicle); Static security operations; Patrol operations; Mobile security operations (vehicle); Scenario based training including pedestrian and vehicle check point, neighborhood patrol, building search and convoy.
Scenario based training includes the use of nonlethal training equipment (airsoft) for force-on-role player and force-on-force missions. All training weapons and safety equipment are provided with admission.
Two Seminars are offered on Monday, December 15, 2014, at Tuscany Falls Clubhouse for $20 per person per seminar.
Introduction to Personal Security from 9:00 a.m. to noon
Topics: Learn about situational awareness, visual threat assessments, breaking contact techniques, defensive tools (lights pepper spray, stun guns, edged weapons and firearms), use of force continuum and justified use of deadly force.
Urban Disaster Survival (Zombie Survival 101) from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Learn about individual survival equipment preparation (Go Bag), shelter in place planning, evacuation planning and individual/group survival strategies for operating in a non-permissive environment.
