PebbleCreek Gun Club member Bill Casey was recently honored for his long and invaluable service as the club’s range safety manager. “Our club is deeply indebted to Bill for all his years of service,” noted president Jerry Younker. “Bill has been instrumental in leading our efforts to ensure every one of our club shooting events is conducted safely, and he has the unique ability to make our events not only safe but fun.”

For the past ten years, Bill has overseen the training of the Pebblecreek Gun Club’s range safety officers (RSOs). The club currently has 10 trained members serving as RSOs, who ensure that the users of a gun range follow range regulations in order to reduce the potential for personal injury and property damage. RSOs also have the responsibility to take immediate action when circumstances require it. The RSO is the range’s official on the firing line to ensure safety.
