Members of the PebbleCreek Car Club enjoy a lively gift exchange at their annual holiday party.

The PebbleCreek Democratic Club held its annual Holiday Party at the home of Les and Hermine Sulzberg on Sunday, December 4. As in previous years the potluck appetizers and desserts were scrumptious and plentiful and the discussions lively and interesting. Thanks, Les and Hermine, for once again hosting this wonderful event.

Nothing happens without the dedication and hard work of our club members and the club recognizes and thanks Carole Korzilius, Martha Bergman, Allen Levine and Hermine Sulzberg.

Club President Bart Alford recognized the contributions of the Executive Board members, Robert Conley, vice president, Irene Manalili, secretary, Cynthia Bush member at large and Treasurer Carl Schatz. A special thank you went to the Community Benefit Committee of Irene Manalili, Ann Mason, Jan and Roger Race and Frankie and Chuck Veltri for their fundraising Tuscan Dinner for the Southwest Valley Literacy Association.

In March the club made a trip to the Herberger Theatre in Phoenix for their Lunch Time Theatre program. This fun outing was arranged by Ross and Judy Hart. The performances were terrific and the lunch afterwards was great! Judy has been arranging the club’s monthly luncheons at tasty and interesting local restaurants. Thanks, Judy!

At our next regular meeting, Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at 7:00 p.m., Tuscany Falls Ballroom, our guest speaker will be Darcy Renfro, Senior Director, The Arizona We Want Institute of the Center for the Future of Arizona.
