PebbleCreek Community Church (PCCC) is initiating a search for church Treasurer. The role served by our Treasurer is important to the life of our congregation here in PebbleCreek. Our hope is that this position will be filled by someone within our community.
Knowledge of general accounting and Microsoft Excel are prerequisites to the job, as is a high degree of integrity and confidentiality. This is a paid, part-time position with more hours required during the winter than during the summer. Our current Treasurer, Syd Mersereau, who has held the position for several years, plans to be available to assist the new person in a period of transition.
Our Treasurer works collaboratively with our congregation on all financial matters. The job includes overseeing the collection and recording of offerings, preparing year-end giving statements, preparing monthly financial statements, overseeing church investments, handling payroll, and ensuring that all governmental filings are prepared in a timely manner. The Treasurer is a member of our Finance Committee and is actively engaged with our other committees.
Membership, or willingness to become a member of our congregation is a requirement, as is agreement with our Statement of Faith contained in our Constitution.
