PebbleCreek Community Church Picnic Recap

On a spectacular Saturday afternoon in April, 61 members of PebbleCreek Community Church (PCCC) gathered at the Oasis Pool and Pavilion for our annual church picnic. The PCCC Fellowship Committee intentionally orchestrates various opportunities for the congregation to meet outside of regular worship services and nurture relationships with our friends and neighbors. In years past, the picnic was held during the summer months. However, this year the committee purposely chose to stage it in spring before the snow/rain birds leave the community for summer.

Of course, a good old-fashioned church picnic must include fried chicken from Fry’s courtesy of the fellowship fund. The rest of the extensive smorgasbord featured potato salads, baked beans, pasta salads, lettuce salads, fruit salads, an array of enticing appetizers, and desserts galore. When the women of the church sign up for their signature “side” dish, one is guaranteed some “fine dining.” Gluttony is certainly not encouraged at our gatherings, but with so many dishes to choose from, all attendees were challenged to not overindulge. We are grateful PebbleCreek features plenty of beautiful venues like the Oasis complex that are readily available to residents who place reservations through the Activities Office.

PebbleCreek Community Church is a non-denominational church that meets each Sunday at 9 a.m. in the Eagle’s Nest Ballroom. You are invited to attend our services and enjoy wonderful music, solid Biblical preaching, fellowship, with an emphasis on missions.
