PebbleCreek Community Church has nine elected Deacons. The Deacons for this year are Deniece Gibbs, Sharon LoCascio, Susan Preston, Joan Olson, Barbara Klaessy, Ruth Walters, Pamela Frye, Faye Sessoms and Patricia Wilson, with Jan Kirk serving as the Elder Liaison.
Deacons serve all year to help Church Members, regular attendees and others who are in need. In ministering to members of the church, our Deacons provide meals to the ill as they recover from surgery and illness. Visits are made to the hospital or home as needed to support recuperation. Meals and visits are also available when shut-ins have a need, both for physical and spiritual support. A wonderful group of volunteers also helps as needed with visits, meal preparation and prayer ministry.
The Deacons provide bereavement services for church members as directed and requested by our pastor. All services are provided in accord with PebbleCreek Community regulations; the services include food, visits or referrals for arrangements.
For community outreach, our card ministry is vibrant. Not only do church members receive birthday cards, anniversary cards, encouragement notes and thinking of you notes, but also other families within our community receive cards of sympathy upon the passing of a community resident.
Prayer is a component of our outreach. We pray for church members as well as all residents of our wonderful PebbleCreek community, when prayer is needed.
