PebbleCreek Car Club member Dave Byerley was presented a trophy for Best of Show for trucks 1967 – 1980 at the Veterans Tribute Car Show February 25 at Westgate Entertainment District. Dave’s 1972 Chevy long bed pick-up is blaze red crystal pearl with purple flames.

Car shows and related activities abound in the months of March and April keeping members of the PebbleCreek Car Club on the road. Attending shows such as Good Guys in Scottsdale one weekend followed by NASCAR the following weekend is a thrill for car enthusiasts. Members participated in a favorite activity on March 11, a drive and dine to The Farm at South Mountain. On March 19 many members were involved with the Sands Chevrolet All American eighth annual Car Show which was a benefit for the Phoenix Children’s Hospital. On March 25, a trip was made to Estrella to participate in the Cruis’n To The Lakes car show held at the Starpointe Amphitheatre at Estrella Mountain Ranch. On April 1 a car show and farmers market at Sun City Grand brought out a huge variety of cars of all makes and models. Spectators were treated to entertainment and a farmers market and a beautiful day in the sun. Later, on April 1, members enjoyed an evening at Canyon Speedway which is a 1/3 mile clay oval race track located in North Peoria.
