PebbleCreek Billiards Club New Developments

Blair Dreyfus, President

As newly elected PebbleCreek Billiards Club president it is my privilege to alert everyone in our community to some very interesting developments for our club members and everyone who uses the tables provided for us. As of March 1, we now have an online reservation system. There are two ways to access this system. You can type in the following URL, holdmycourt.xyz/reserve2/pcbc, or use the QR code.

We also have a new club website, pcbilliards.com, so check us out there. I would like to thank Joe Armbruster, our new webmaster, who made this possible. Joe has been working on the site for some time and the time is now. So Joe, thank you for everything you’ve done to make this happen. I hope you smile every time you hear someone talk about the site. As club president and even more so as your friend, your work is greatly appreciated.

I’d also like to thank Jim Padgitt for his work on our new online reservation system. I mentioned one day that I would like to do away with the paper sign in sheets we had been using for a long time and bring us into this century. He grabbed the bull by the horns and voila, a new online reservation system is up and running. Thank you Jim for everything you’ve done to make one of my many goals a reality.

As always here is a list of our monthly in house club member tournament winners:

Monday noon to 2 8-ball tournament: Johnny Henson (2), Jim Padgitt (1)

Tuesday 8 a.m. to noon 8-ball tournament: Johnny Henson (1), Lynn Warren (1), Rene Lefebvre (1)

Friday 8 a.m. to noon 10-ball tournament: Lynn Warren (1), Johnny Henson (1)

Player of the month in February was Johnny Henson.

Congratulations to all the winners!

I also need to give thanks to Dan Harris, our club travel team coordinator. Dan has been working diligently to set up tournaments, both here and away, with teams from communities like ours from CantaMia and Trilogy. The results of these two tournaments are in separate articles from Dan. Dan is also working on setting dates to play the community center group from Buckeye and a joint tournament with players from CantaMia and PebbleCreek against Sun City West. More on that next month.

All in all it has been a very eventful and rewarding first two months of my club presidency and I look forward to bigger and better things for our ever growing club and its members. One last thing: I’d like to thank the members of the club who voted for me as their new club president. I will do everything I can to make you proud that you have given me this opportunity to put my touches to an already successful group. To bigger and better things to come.

May your aim be true and your stroke be smooth and you pot every ball you shoot at.
