The PebbleCreek Men’s Golf Association conducted its final major tournament for the 2016 season. The format for this three-day event was a four man scramble where the members chose their own teammates. The tourney was held on December 8, 14 and 15.
The field, which consisted of 60 teams, was separated into five flights. The course rotation for Flights 1, 2 and 3 was Falls/Palms, then Eagle’s Nest, then back to Falls/Palms. The rotation for Flights 4 and 5 was Eagle’s Nest, then Falls/Palms, then back to Eagle’s Nest. The weather was described as unseasonably warm.
Two holes-in-one were scored during the event. Jerry Davis made his on the first day on hole number 8 on the Palms. Jim Bundschuh made his on the last day on hole number 4 at Eagle’s Nest.
Lunch with beer and soda was served at Tuscany Falls after play was completed. Prizes were awarded in each flight for Low Gross and Low Net (three places) plus daily closest-to-the-pin.
