On April 23, the PebbleCreek Men’s Golf Association (PCMGA) provided a putting contest as part of the Member-Guest tourney.
A putting contest was conducted on the lower putting green at Tuscany Falls. Two holes were set up for the contest. One called “West Course” was 35 feet in length and uphill for all but the last 8 feet, which were straight downhill and rolled to the right. The other hole called “East Course” was 45 feet in length and uphill with a severe right to left downhill break.
The contest was optional for members and their guests. Players could play one or both of these courses. For an entry fee of $5, each player hit two putts to one of the two courses. If they wanted to make more attempts on the same course or play the other course, they paid an additional $5 fee for each additional 2-putt attempt. The prize fund included amounts collected from the participating contest players as well as $200 funded by the PCMGA.
The goal was to make the putt, but prizes were awarded for closest to the hole as well.
Prizes were awarded for 5 places for each course.
In all, five holes-in-one were made. Three were made on the West course. One by Steve Annable, one by Matt Flynn, and one by Kelly Schunke. Two were made on the East course. One by Steve Temple and one by Riley John.
The PCMGA would like to thank Julius Aquino for organizing this event. He could not have done it without the help of the following volunteers: Joanie O’Neil, Val Lorenzo, Pam Aquino, Rochelle Zuckerbrow, and Dawn Anthony.
