At the Member-Member Tournament earlier this year, the PebbleCreek Men’s Golf Association elected officers for the 2017-2018 golfing season. They officially took office on June 1.
Introducing our leaders:
Bud Held (President) – Bud hails from Iowa and gallantly served in the US Army for 37 years, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. Most of his service took place in Georgia and southern California. He and his wife Char have lived in PebbleCreek since 1998. Bud likes hiking, working out in our gyms and swimming laps at the pool. He has served on the Golf Committee on two occasions and worked on the PCMGA Member-Guest committee for three years. Bud previously served the PCMGA a.ice president. Serving as president, Bud’s main responsibility is to preside at meetings and oversee the daily operation of the PCMGA.
Ed Stadjuhar (Vice President) – Ed is a Colorado man through and through. He was born and raised in Trinidad, Colorado. He attended the University of Colorado for two years before being admitted to the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, graduating in 1967. He served in the Air Force as an instructor pilot in T-38’s. In 1972 he started his civilian career as an investment advisor. Ed has accumulated nearly 7,000 hours of flying time in personally-owned aircraft. He and his wife Karen bought a home in PebbleCreek in 2005 living here part-time until he fully retired in 2016. In summer, they like to travel the countryside in their motor coach checking out great golf courses and off-road scenic back country. Ed has served two years on the Member Guest Fundraising committee. Serving a.ice president, Ed’s main job is to chair the Member-Guest Tournament.
John Low (Secretary) – John was born and raised in Hollister, California. He had his own bookkeeping, consulting and tax firm for 20 years. He held the position of Global Chief Financial Manager for an injection molding manufacturer in Hayward, California before retiring. In 2014 he and his wife Jackie moved from Fremont, California to PebbleCreek. He served as president of the local Rotary and Chamber of Commerce in Newark, California. Serving as secretary, John’s main function is to keep the minutes of the PCMGA’s meetings and communicating the results of those meeting.ia the group email and on the PCMGA website.
Mike McMahon (Treasurer) – Another Iowan, Mike grew up in Dubuque. After serving his country for four years with the U.S. Navy, he graduated from Iowa State University. Upon graduation he accepted an electrical engineering position with Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids. He retired as Engineering Manager after 32 years with Rockwell. Mike and his family moved to PebbleCreek in 2005 as full-time residents. He enjoys family, computers, reading and travel. This is Mike’s first position as a board member. As treasurer, Mike’s key responsibilities include the keeping of membership records, issuing checks and preparing monthly financial status reports.
