With prevailing outstanding early fall weather conditions on the morning of September 28, a total of 112 highly charged and enthusiastic golfers from our PCMGA, PCM9GA, PCLGA and PCL9GA sanctioned golf groups participated in the highly anticipated sixth annual Summer Survivor Tournament.
In recent years we have experienced a favorable increase in the cooperation and working relations within our four PebbleCreek Golf groups with a number of multi-club mixer events which has accomplished a higher degree of socialization and cooperation among the groups. This recently held sixth annual Summer Survivor event was certainly no exception and everyone that participated in this event simply had a blast and enjoyed themselves tremendously.
For this event, all three Tuscany Falls Golf Courses were utilized and the format was a Step-Aside Scramble Format in that the best ball for each hole starting with the initial drive as well as succeeding strokes were utilized as the location for the next stroke. In addition, the Step-Aside meant that whomever’s stroke was used as the best ball required that that team member step aside and not participate in the next stroke. In addition, for the entire 18 holes of play, the two initial drives for each team member were required to be used and also the team scores for each foursome were adjusted based upon the prevailing AGA handicaps of each team member.
A total of 28 foursomes were set up as three flights, Flights 1, 2 and 3 and kudos to the winners as follows:

Following the event everyone gathered to socialize and enjoy a great buffet lunch at the Chianti Room. Once again everyone simply had a terrific time and the winners were announced and congratulated. Our gratitude is extended to the PebbleCreek Pro Staff and PCMGA Board and Committee Members comprised of Jerry Monk, Ray Catalano, Ron Hansen, Bill Schaeffer and several others for conducting this outstanding tournament event.
