Part 1
The PebbleCreek Men’s Golf Association (PCMGA) held its 29th annual Member/Guest tournament on April 22, 23, and 24 playing the East and West courses at Tuscany Falls. One hundred and six two-man teams competed in a match play format.
There were three flights within each of the six divisions. Over the three days, teams played against each of the other five teams in their respective flight. A point was awarded for each hole won. An additional point was also awarded for winning the match. Highest number of accumulated points for all five matches wins their flight.
Flight Winners
Division A: Flight 1 – Mark Blore/Carey Weedman, Flight 2 – Kent Becraft/Jack Meehan, Flight 3 – Steve Temple/Del Brown
Division B: Flight 4 – Kurt Fischer/Jeffrey Fischer, Flight 5 – Greg Haffley/ Eric Haffley, Flight 6 – Jeff Stroup/Matt Rostal
Division C: Flight 7 – Dean Carlsen/Daniel Wilskie, Flight 8 – Tom Hume/Keegan Schunke, Flight 9 – Charles Veltri/Eric Veltri
Division D: Flight 10 – Russ Aldridge/Kevin Aldridge, Flight 11 – Greg Curtis/Todd Froelich, Flight 12 – Jerry Treece/ Doug Mort
Division E: Flight 13 – Gene Bruening/Chris Rittgers, Flight 14 – Bob Parise/Bob Ganter, Flight 15 – Scott Maier/Fred Fernandes
Division F: Flight 16 – Victor Vanhorn/Ronald Jerzyk, Flight 17 – Ray Catalano/Mike Mehrer, Flight 18 – Dave Flynn/Matt Flynn
Using an alternate shot format, the three flight-winning teams in each division competed in a two-hole shootout on the front nine of the West course to determine the division winner.
Division Winners
A: Blore/Weedman, B: Fischer/Fischer, C: Hume/Schunke, D: Aldridge/Aldridge, E: Breuning/Rittgers. F: Catalano/Mehrer.
The division winners then advanced to the finals to compete in a three-hole shootout on the 9th hole (West course) to determine the overall winner.
