The PebbleCreek Men’s Golf Association annually conducts a two-man scramble event that serves a dual purpose. It is a regular men’s day tourney, but six teams also qualify to enter the Arizona Golf Association’s Club Team Championship. The tourney was played on Sept. 7 at our Eagle’s Nest Golf Course.
In this event 27 teams in the Gross/Net flight played from the blue tees and 29 teams in the Super Senior flight (age 70+) played from the white tees. This was a form-your-own-team event. Team handicaps were calculated by adding 35% of the A player’s handicap to 15% of the B player’s handicap.
The teams that qualified to move on to the AGA Club Team Championship Regionals were offered a choice of where to play: Antelope Hills South Course (Prescott—Gross/Net only) on Oct. 26, Sun City CC (Gross/Net and Super Seniors) on Nov. 16, Del Lago Golf Club (Vail, Ariz.—Gross/Net and Super Seniors) on Nov. 17, or Wigwam Red Course (Gross/Net only) on Nov. 19. The Finals will be played at the Founders Course at Verrado on Dec. 4.
