The annual PebbleCreek Men’s Golf Association Member-Member tourney was played on March 5 and 11. Unfortunately, the third round scheduled for March 12 was cancelled due to heavy rains. As a result, the standings after the second round became the final standings.
A total of 91 two-man teams competed in eight flights with three flights playing from the blue tees and five flights playing from the white tees. The blue flights and first white flight played the Tuscany Falls West/East rotation and the remaining white flights played the Tuscany Falls East/West rotation. A scramble was the format for round one. One best-ball net was the format for round two. The format for the cancelled third round was supposed to be two net-aggregate.
A delicious lunch was served in the Tuscany Ballroom after play on the final day. The annual PCMGA member meeting was then held to discuss pending issues. Officers for the 2020-2021 season were elected. Congratulations to Jim Sheard (president), Ken Schumacher (vice president), John Abercrombie (secretary), and Rand Hill (treasurer). They take office on June 1. Many thanks to outgoing officers John Low and Mike McMahon.
Each playing member received a leather valuables bag embossed with the PCMGA logo as well as a PCMGA bag tag and a PCMGA ball marker as a tee prize.
Howie Tiger announced Chuck Ransom as the winner of the 2019 PCMGA Most Improved Player Award. Chuck’s handicap index improved from 21.1 to 15.5 during the 2019 playing season. Ronnie Decker announced all the players who cashed.
