Our PCM9GA group, now with a soaring membership role close to 300 members, conducted its first ever Member-Guest Invitational Tournament with outstanding weather conditions on the morning of February 26 utilizing our Tuscany Lakes and Palms courses.
Our current board, headed by our relentless President Ray Clements, has been particularly innovative and this tournament was truly an awesome event. A total of 88 PCM9GA members and guests all assembled at 7:00 a.m. in back of the Tuscany Falls Clubhouse as Tournament Chairman Gary Lord, assisted by Ray Clements and PebbleCreek Golf Director Jason Whitehill, offered details of what turned out to be the most successful ever PCM9GA event. Each golfer, upon registration, was given a gift bag containing a drink coupon, a special PCM9GA golf towel, three golf balls as well as the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets. A basic Two Net Score Tournament format was utilized for this event in which each team member would get anywhere from zero to two stroke credits (Pops) for each hole depending upon their prevailing AGA handicaps. However, each team member was allowed to purchase a Mulligan in advance at the cost of $5 which could be used only for the initial drive shot and only once for each team member. Also, the 22 foursomes were divided into four flights, the A, B, C and D teams based upon their AGA handicaps.
The competition was very tight with just a few strokes separating the winning teams. Congratulations to the winning foursomes and closest to the pin winners as follows:

Following the event participants enjoyed a buffet lunch in the Chianti Room as Ray Clements, Bruce Hulbert and Jason Whitehill announced the tournament winners as well as a myriad of prize winners. The tremendous success of this event was by no means an accident and kudos to Gary Lord and his team for chairing this outstanding event as well as Bruce Hulbert Randy Prinz, Dave Eckert, Bob Caldwell, Dave Eckert and Jason Whitehall along with his Golf Pro staff.
Our PCM9GA highly encourages prospective new members to join our fun loving group which welcomes golfers at all skill levels.
