Our PebbleCreek Men’s Nine-Hole Golf Association (PCM9GA) announced results of our Feb. 5 Two-Low Net Tournament, which was our third tournament in our exciting and fun-filled 2026 event schedule. Utilizing the entire 18 holes of our challenging Eagles Nest Golf Course, approximately 120 golfers comprising 30 foursome groups, tied off at 1 p.m. with our winter climate blessing us once again with pleasant warm afternoon weather.

The Two Low-Net Tournament scoring format utilizes, for each hole, the two lowest net scores based on the prevailing AGA handicap for the two lowest team scores per foursome. The tournament was set up with 17 White Tee foursomes competing on the Eagles Nest back-nine and 13 Red Tee foursomes playing on the Eagles Nest front-nine. Typically this format ensured a more even and fair competitive playing field for all groups, since for each hole the two highest net scores for the foursome team were discarded and reduced the likelihood that a golfer having a few rough holes would totally eliminate their team chances of winning.

As expected, the results were predictably very close with no more than 4 to 6 strokes separating the first and fifth place foursomes for both flights. Our hats off to the top winning foursomes as follows:

White Flight

1: Brian Sarristo, Mike Branham, Nigel Alexander, Phil Stegmann; -10 to Par Net, 62 Total Net

2: Denis Biagini, Tim Munson, Todd Schneiter, Don Matosich; -9 to Par Net, 63 Total Net

3: Joe Oliver, Christ Fillip, Richard Bee, Bob Weilding; -9 to Par Net, 63 Total Net

Red Flight

1: Bill Fenster, Allan McCormack, Jim Tackett, Steve Johnson; -12 to Par Net, 60 Total Net

2: Willard Bradshaw, Jon Fritz, Gerald Franklin, Casey Jones; -8 to Par Net, 64 Total Net

3: Charlie Lowe, Albert Williams, Keith Stumpp; -7 to Par Net, 65 Total Net

Congratulations to our Closest to Pin and Longest Putt Winners, which included Lloyd Abrahams, Chris Mucha, Brian Saaristo, Rod Oonk, Al Glatt, and Nemo Villarruel.

Following the event, a fair number of participants gathered at the Eagles Nest Restaurant patio area to review our results and congratulate our winning foursomes. As already reiterated, this Two Low Net Tournament was our third event for the first 5 weeks of 2026, and our incredibly full exciting schedule had just begun. Our biggest competitive PCM9GA event of the year, our Club Championship Event, was held as a two-part event on Feb. 12 and 19.
