PCM9GA Scramble results

On Thursday afternoon, March 24, about 125 always enthusiastic PCM9GA golfers teed off for a regular Scramble Tournament utilizing both our Tuscany Lakes and Falls Courses under quite favorable early spring Arizona weather conditions.

Our PCM9GA Pairing Committee typically comes out with a myriad of seemingly new and intriguing tournament formats but this time they offered the simple and ever popular Scramble Format which means that after the initial tee shot required for each team member, the best ball (most favorably positioned ball location for each of the four team member drives) is utilized for each successive drive through the final putting stroke or strokes. Often this format minimizes any stress for the higher handicap golfers who may produce a few errant initial drives and so forth and not be too concerned about detracting from the team’s chances of winning. However, this format required that each team member’s initial drive had to be utilized twice for the nine hole event and sure enough, for the last few holes, if a team member’s drive must be counted for that hole, an errant water ball or otherwise funky drive could make the whole difference between winning or the sheer disappointment of likely being eliminated from having a competitive team score period.

Kudos to the winners as follows:
