Since the most humble beginnings of the PCM9GA almost 10 years ago in 2005, our membership role has steadily increased and lately at a quite dramatic rate since currently we have about 285 members. Since September the PCM9GA has added 19 new members. At our recent regularly scheduled Thursday, November 6 event conducted utilizing our Tuscany Palms and Falls Course on a non-tournament basis, a large number of new members participated for the first time and our most dynamic PCM9GA President Ray Clements introduced each member to almost 100 participating PCM9GA golfers.
The following new members who participated in the November 6 event were welcomed: Bruce Ruver, Steve Shaver, David Rossi, Bart Ventura, John Brown, Ray Jones, Ziggy Zutkiewicz and Del Huffman.
Additional recent new PCM9GA member additions that were not in the PCM9GA new member photo included, Chris Jeans, Bob Harry, Josh Rabinowitz, Don Simons, Clint Alston, John Mumme, Graham Hume, Michael Bunn, Keith Passaflume, Bob Schrader and Dave Relinked.
While this event was not an actual tournament, several PCM9GA golfers attained exceptionally favorable scores as follows and in particular, congratulations to one of our brand new PCM9GA members, Bruce Ruder, who attained a gross 37 on our Palms Course. Wow and we really cannot accuse Bruce of being a sand bagger since Bruce is too new as a PCM9GA member. The results of the top PCM9GA golfers are listed as follows:
Low Net Score, Bruce Ruder, Gross Score of 37; 2nd Lowest Scores: Pete Pederson, gross score 41; Del Huffman, gross score 41.
Seven additional golfers attained scores of 42 as follows: Ray Clements, Willard Bradshaw, Bjarne Kaer, Gary Lord, Steve Rottger, Doug Schlenker and Paul Zuckerbrow.
Closest to the Pin winners included Alan Price, Dave Eckert, Tom Schull and Stan Fuller.
Our PCM9GA conducted a total of four off campus events during the normal PebbleCreek Golf Course shut-down period for reseeding period with excellent participation and in addition included some very welcome joint participation form our PCMGA (18 hole group) members. Our year 2014 schedule will conclude with our all member semiannual meeting on November 19, the third annual Holiday Party which again promises to be an awesome event and starting next year our Turf Paradise Racing Event outing will be held on January 19.
The PCM9GA group, now at about 285 members strong, has a truly awesome membership role largely comprised of easy going and fun loving golfers and welcomes new members at all skill levels. For new members the cost will be $50 but will cover all dues for the remainder of 2014 as well as 2015. The standard full year membership renewal dues are $50 which includes fees for the AGA membership which is essential for handicap reporting.
