Our PCM9GA group, with our soaring and ever increasing membership role now in excess of 300 members, recently honored all of our PCM9GA past presidents with a plaque presentation at our ninth annual Awards Banquet on April 17 in recognition of their substantial contributions to our Nine Hole Golf Group.
Historically, our PCM9GA had a quite humble inception way back in 2002 in a meeting attended by Merle Oatman, Tom Spink, Jay McCarthy, Dick Wood and several other golfers to first discuss the formation of a PebbleCreek nine hole club. This core group played together informally for a couple of years making up their own signup sheets and so forth with some help from Bill Bernard to extend a shot gun start so they could finish up simultaneously.
By year 2005, this core group gathered some momentum and expanded to about 40 members and the PCM9GA golf group was officially formed as an official PebbleCreek golf organization with Tom Spink elected as the first president. Bob Caldwell assumed the role as Handicap and Pairing Manager and Bruce Hulbert took the initiative to have the PCM9GA associated with the Arizona Golf Association.
Since then our group has grown by leaps and bounds with Bruce Hulbert serving as president from 2006 through 2008 and during this time period the PCM9GA held its first annual awards banquet in 2007. Tom Reed and Russ Georgesen initiated the first PCM9GA website in 2006 which served our growing membership role very well for several years. Our PCM9GA website was updated in 2013 and manual signups were since replaced with a computerized system in 2014.
The list of accomplishments and contributions from not only our presidents but from our other board and committee members is immense and while it is not possible to cover everyone in this article, the following is a list of our current and past PCM9GA presidents who have contributed so very much to make our PCM9GA a truly awesome golf group by every stretch of imagination and then some.

Our current PCM9GA Executive Board and Committee Members headed by President Ray Clements has continued our outstanding event program and have introduced a host of new tournaments such as the recently held joint Sun City Grand and PCM9GA Tournament and the inauguration of a series of PCM9GA and PCMGA mixer tournaments and also some special off campus social events.
We always welcome interested prospective new members to join our fun loving group which welcomes golfers at all skill levels. The $50 annual cost includes dues for the AGA membership which is essential for handicap reporting.
