Our PebbleCreek Men’s Nine-Hole Golf Association (PCM9GA), founded in 2005, has conducted considerable fundraising events through the years to benefit many local area residents in urgent need of support. Last year, we held a Charity Tournament in April that raised more than $12,000 for the Luke MOAA Chapter to support their numerous charitable programs.

For this year, our PCM9GA Board will be conducting an even more substantial two-day Member Guest Charity event on March 26 and 27 to benefit the Luke Spouses Club, with our proceeds being distributed to their Welfare Account. These profits are given back in the form of college scholarships for military dependents, grants to Luke AFB organizations, and charitable contributions to base organizations and the local community. They have more than 22 initiatives that we will help support with our fundraising goal of $20,000.

As in previous such charitable events, the support received from our local area businesses, medical, legal, construction firms, restaurants, and so forth has been overwhelming and gratifying. Likewise, our participating PCM9GA golfers highly anticipate this event and awards dinner, which will feature many prizes, raffle ticket gifts, a silent auction of rare collectables, and even hole-in-one opportunities to win $10,000.

At the event, all major sponsors will receive timely and invaluable publicity to our 150 participating PCM9GA golfers via banners, signs, a slide show, and gift bags full of business cards, favors, and other handouts. While the Luke Spouses Club will receive most needed donations, all sponsors and our additional donors will also benefit with added recognition from over 12,000 PebbleCreek residents, which is clearly a win-win situation. Special recognition is in order to Ray Clements, President John Craven, and other PCM9GA Charity Committee members for their tireless efforts to ensure a tremendous success for this major Charity Event.

We highly encourage prospective new PCM9GA members in our exceptional, fun-loving, low-key group of golfers to contact our membership chairman, Dusty Howard, at 805-218-6461.
