On Thursday evening, December 10, approximately 200 PCM9GA members and guests gathered together at our Tuscany Falls Ballroom for our fifth annual Holiday Party which turned out to be a truly memorable and genuinely fabulous affair.
Our terrific night of dining and dancing festivities began at 5:30 p.m. with a no host bar.
Soon after we all loosened up and migrated to our dining tables, John Ward, one of our previous PCM9GA presidents, conducted the Pledge of Allegiance to our flag and proceeded with a very moving and charismatic holiday invocation. A tad later, our most illustrious PCM9GA President Ray Clements took over as MC and recognized our PCM9GA Board and our committee members for their awesome contributions resulting in the growth of our PCM9GA membership role which is now close to 340 members.
The dinner, which consisted of a choice of prime rib or chicken, was terrific, thanks to our PebbleCreek Catering staff which continues to deliver five star category meals. Likewise, the live dance music by Thaddeus Rose was top class and our dance floor remained crowded with our energetic holiday season—spirited dancing couples throughout the evening. In addition, a number of door prizes and raffle ticket prizes were presented.
No highly successful event such as our holiday party happens automatically and tremendous credit is due to Doug and Sherry Wainwright along with our outstanding PCM9GA executive board and committee members for their planning and coordination efforts which made this PCM9GA holiday event the best ever imaginable.
Our PCM9GA closed out the year with our PREZ PRO Tournament on December 17 and our most active winter and spring activity schedule starts with our Verde Valley Railroad Excursion on January 17 followed by our next Member-Guest Tournament on February 25 and soon after our annual Club Champion Tournament series on March 3 and 10.
Our PCM9GA growth rate continues to accelerate and as incredible as it may seem, we are now 340 members strong which is a far cry from our humble few dozen initial founding membership role in 2005.
Our PCM9GA highly encourages prospective new members to join our fun-loving group which welcomes golfers at all skill levels. The annual $50 cost includes dues for the AGA membership which is essential for handicap reporting.
