‘Tis the “Par-Tee Season” for the PebbleCreek Ladies Golf Association Red and Green Tournament held on Dec. 8 and 9.
Co-chairs Sue White and Lynn Grice are taking the reins for this seasonal merriment. They are encouraging all players to dust off those red noses, jingle bells, and holiday sweaters for this special event.
Teams are separated into the Red Team and the Green Team. The players are encouraged to wear their team colors and decorate their carts. The more decorations the merrier!
The stakes are high for this two-day event, as the winning team has bragging rights for a whole year! The Red Team holds claim to those rights this year, but word on the street is that the Green Team has been practicing all year to overtake the Red Team. The winning team usually prevails by a matter of a stroke or two, so it’s crucial all players bring their “A” game.
The friendly competition will be on the Tuscany Falls East and West courses.
The format is a two-person Best Ball Match Play.
The entry fee is $10.
Most importantly, ‘tis the season of giving. The entry fees will be donated to the New Life Center. The New Life Center offers various services to those in need, including emergency shelter for adults and children and a variety of outreach support programs.
Last year, through the generosity of the PCLGA members, $7,000 was donated to this very worthy cause. Hopefully, 2020 will surpass last year’s donations.
So, get out your antlers with bells, pointy red-and-green hats, elf shoes, and wallet because here comes the “Par-Tee Season” 2020!
