The PCLGA Roadrunners played at Lost Gold Course at Superstition Mountain on January 16 and Faldo Course Wildfire on January 30, 2017. Their most recent match was at Red Mountain Ranch on February 6, 2017. The course architect for Red Mountain Ranch is Pete Dye, one of the best known golf course architects in the business. He is a member of the World Golf Hall of Fame and recipient of the PGA Tour Lifetime Achievement Award. His course designs are known for his use of mounding, railroad ties and difficult greens.
The Roadrunners had their work cut out for them to navigate the treacherous terrain on the Red Mountain Ranch course. Not all bounces went their way, causing them to lose a little ground for the season. They are now overall in fourth place gross and sixth place net. A bounce back is planned for February 20 at Anthem Country Club.
Members of the Roadrunners team are Kittie Day, Ellen Enright, Mary Falso, Mary Harris, Kathy Hubert-Wyss, Renee deLassus, Monica Lee, Sarah Marsh, Barb McKinney, Chanca Morrell, Marilyn Reynolds, Amber Rivera and Sheri Sears. The team is co-captained by Mary Harris and Marilyn Reynolds.
