PCLGA Members Do Well in Robson Challenge

Chris Duprey

The 2019 Robson Challenge was held on Nov. 13 at the MountainView Golf Course in SaddleBrooke. PebbleCreek sent two 12-lady teams—Eagle’s Nest and Tuscany Falls—to play this challenging course.

The teams were as follows:

Eagle’s Nest: Chanca Morrell (captain), Kittie Day, Kathy Smith, Chris Urbatchka, Sharon Johnson, Barbara Chilton, Sally Babbitt, Mary Pinski, Sue White, Tess Braden, Kathy Carney, and Judy Layton.

Tuscany Falls: Judy Hauser (captain), Layne Sheridan, Barb Rossi, Jean Ostroga, Carolyn Apodaca, Jenna Ridgeway, Paula Fix, Bev Clinton, Carol Sanders, Linda Thompson, Cindy Tollefson, and Karen Stadjuhar.

The winning team was determined by using the best 10 of 12 scores for each team. PebbleCreek teams did not win first place, but Tuscany Falls finished second and Eagle’s Nest finished fourth.

Karen Stadjuhar won individual overall low net with a score of 66. Way to go, Karen! Other low net winners in their respective flights were:

Flight 1: 1st Chanca Morrell and 3rd Judy Hauser

Flight 2: 1st Carolyn Apodaca and 2nd Jenna Ridgeway

Flight 5: 1st Linda Thompson

Flight 6: 1st Sue White

Plus, John McCahan, PebbleCreek director of golf, was the low pro of the day.  Congratulations to all of the winners.

Next year’s Robson Challenge will be held on Nov. 18, at Quail Creek. Mark your calendars now, and help PebbleCreek bring the trophy back home.
