The PebbleCreek Ladies Golf Association’s Member/Member Tournament held March 5-6, 2019, was a huge success with 172 players participating! The weather hovered in the high 70s both days, with only a glimpse of rain occurring on the second morning. The ladies embraced the mad hatter theme both days with very creative, fun and zany hats! Special thanks for organizing a terrific event go to the tournament chairs Amber Rivera, Debbie Sayre and Pam Schunke, who also had help from Chanca Morrell, Jackie Goupil, Kathi Curtis and Pam Volm. Ellen Enright, PCLGA photographer, did a fantastic job of capturing all the enthusiasm of the participants and Judy Layton and Vicki Norrie provided their usual skillful guidance to the tournament chairs.
The event was played on the Tuscany Falls East and West courses and featured a different format each day. One day was a challenging tri-six format (two-person, scramble; two-person, one net; and two-person, alternate shot), plus a day of two-person, one net on odd holes and two net on even holes. Players enjoyed a delicious lunch served on the second day of play.
Five places were paid in each flight. The results follow:
Flight 1: 1st, Andrea Dilger/Layne Sheridan; 2nd, Jean Ostroga/Ann Page; 3rd, Kathy Hubert-Wyss/Barbara Patrow.
Flight 2: 1st, Judy Hauser/Cheryl Skummer; 2nd (tie), Denise Gardner/Suzanne Kanaly; Cheryl LaMotta/Bonnie Whittier.
Flight 3: 1st (tie 180), Gayle Hubbard/Christine Urbatchka; Chris Cook/Carole Schumacher; 3rd, JoAnn Dagro/Marilyn Williams.
Flight 4: 1st, Nan Perkins/Diana Wolf; 2nd, Joanne Metivier/Grace Rottinghaus; 3rd, Diana Hull/Sharon Johnson.
Flight 5: 1st, Diane Faulkner/Karen Uherchik; 2nd, Tricia Self/Linda Thompson; 3rd, Jan Hansen/Louise Levanti.
Flight 6: 1st, Kathleen Carney/Sue White; 2nd, Susan Franzone/Sharon Smith; 3rd, Jackie Low/Linda Sweet.
In addition, there were 31 players who had 39 birdies and one eagle by Jeraldine Rettman on Hole 1, Tuscany Falls East course.
