PCLGA Champions for 2022-23!

The PebbleCreek Ladies Golf Association (PCLGA) celebrates our champions each year during the major Tournament of Champions (TOC) when we strive to recognize the best of our best. The three-day event for 2023 was on March 21, 28, and 29, and played on all three PebbleCreek golf courses. It culminated with a celebration at Tuscany Falls Clubhouse.

The winners for 2022-2023 are:

Overall Gross Champion: Andrea Dilger shot a 78, 77, and 72 in three respective rounds and captured the crown on the final hole to win the $100 purse and the trophy.

Overall Gross Runner Up: Margaret Dlouhy with three rounds at 78, 78, and 73 to win the $75 purse.

Overall Net Champion: Lorie Schlomann shot a net 64, net 62, and net 65 in three respective rounds to win the $100 purse and the trophy.

Overall Net Runner Up: Teresa Christianson with three rounds of net 66, net 71, and net 70 to win the $75 purse.

Most Improved Player: Lisa Reichert had a starting GHIN Index of 19.8 on March 16, 2022, and improved her Index by March 15, 2023, to 12.9. Using a formula that the USGA uses to determine the most improved player, Lisa’s improvement factor was 1.277. Congratulations, Lisa!

Most Birdies Award: Andrea Dilger scored 63 birdies during PCLGA play between March 16, 2022, and March 25, 2023, which is her personal best since starting play with the PCLGA. The total birdies scored during the reporting period by PCLGA players was 808, and 167 members scored at least one birdie!

Champions were also named in seven flights:

Flight 1: Liz Mitchell, 1st gross; Susan Slaughter, 2nd gross; Laura Drummond, 1st net; and Chanca Morrell, Carol Dick, and Cindy Sota tied for 2nd net.

Flight 2: Brenda Cook, 1st gross; Kittie Day, 2nd gross; Barbara Rossi, 1st net; and Carolyn Apodaca and Leslie Estelle tied for 2nd net.

Flight 3: Nancy Moore, 1st gross; Kathi Curtis, 2nd gross; Jackie Christianson, 1st net; Susan Diamond, 2nd net; and Peggy Steffan, 3rd net.

Flight 4: Mary Pinski, 1st gross; Kearin Kasper, 2nd gross; Vera Ilsley, 1st net; Karen Poturalski, 2nd net, and Chris Cook, 3rd net.

Flight 5: Esther Frehner, 1st gross; Barbara Chilton, 2nd gross; Carol Langhardt and Sharon Johnson tied for 1st net; Tricia Self, 3rd net.

Flight 6: Gayle Hubbard, 1st gross; and Kathy McMillin and Elaine Carlson tied for 2nd gross; Sue White, 1st net; and Jeannie Alvarez and Arlene Engelbert tied for 2nd net.

Flight 7: Susan Harris, 1st gross; Carol Adkins, 2nd gross; Linda Sweet, 1st net; Judy Floyd, 2nd net; Judy Layton, Mary Rollins, and Beverly Clinton tied for 3rd net.

During TOC play, Andrea Dilger had an Eagle on hole number 7, and Susan Slaughter had an Eagle on hole number 14, both on the Tuscany Falls West Course.

Following the tournament, Ellen Enright turned over the PCLGA President’s gavel to incoming PCLGA President for 2023-24, Kittie Day.
