While the main objective of the Lady Niners is to enjoy the game of golf with other great ladies in PebbleCreek, there is a lot that goes on behind the scenes to make the Association run smoothly. The Officers and several Board Members have been working diligently throughout the summer, sometimes from places far away and cooler, to update the Association’s Constitution and By-Laws. There are several items being reviewed and, subject to full Board approval, the revisions will be outlined for the general membership in late October and voted on at the first league day in November.
One revision will address the addition of one new Board Member position and two Representative positions to include Web Master, Assistant Treasurer Representative and Scoring Assistant Representative. Another revision being proposed will provide mentoring opportunities and experience for the person stepping into the office of President by creating a President-Elect position. This would be a two-year commitment with the President Elect stepping into the President position in the second year thereby allowing for a more efficient and seamless transition for the incoming President each year. Other revisions will primarily define more clearly the roles and responsibilities of the Officers, Board Members and Representatives to reflect current practices.
