PCCC Poolside Potluck Picnic

V. Spiegel

Once again members of PebbleCreek Community Church (PCCC) were encouraged to gather at the Oasis Pool complex for our annual church picnic. The Fellowship committee decorated the pavilion in traditional red and white checkered tablecloths and furnished enough Fry’s fried chicken to feed an army. The rest of the diners were encouraged to contribute their favorite side dish or dessert to the smorgasbord. Most women love to wow the crowd with their signature side dish. The combination resulted in quite a potluck feast on a spectacular spring afternoon. Fortunately, the Fellowship committee had the foresight to choose heavy-duty, extra-large oval paper plates so the diners could freely treat themselves to a little taste of everything.

Our congregation is reflective of the PebbleCreek community-at-large in that many of our church members and regular attendees leave Arizona during the warmer months. So this gathering provided a perfect opportunity to relax, visit, and wish our snow/rain birds safe travels to their summer homes. We are grateful to have such a beautiful pool complex to use for these celebrations and we are especially thankful to our hardworking Fellowship committee for thoughtfully planning such fun events well in advance.
